A tape adapter with interchangeable brackets. The tape adapter can be firmly mounted to the blade or tip of any standard tape measure in which the tape adapter accom- modates interchangeable brackets which are used to securely attach the tape measure to any item or surface being measured beyond an arms reach. The utility knife bracket accommodates the knife blade in which the bracket is used for cutting wall board and other material.
