Abstract of the Disclosure This invention relates to a tape anti-back-scrape device for a video tape recorder which is provided with an arm through which a pinch roller is pivoted to loading gears, the pinch roller having at one end of a small arm and tapered rollers pivoted thereto for drawing out the tape in co-operation with the pinch roller and take-out pin. The pins and tapered roller are biased elastically circumferentially of the rotary head. Stopper pins are provided so that when loading by the pinch roller and take-out pin is finished the arm and rocking plate abut against the stopper pins to escape the tapered roller out- wardly from the peripheral surface of the rotary head. The wound tape on the rotary head is free from mutual back-scratch, whereby the tape and recording signal thereof are not damaged.
