TAPE CASSETTES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A tape cassette comprising a cassette body in which reels and a tape are accommodated, a lid for closing a front opening which is provided in the cassette body, a lid-locking member swung on a mounting pin which projects from the bottom plate of the cassette, and detecting holes with respective obstruction members for retrieving information on the cassette, which pass through the bottom plate, has one of the detecting holes arranged substantially in alignmentwith the mounting pin without giving any influence to the mounting pin, so that the sapce of the bottom plate is effectively utilized.
