ABSTRACT A tape joint for cylindrical members is provided wherein a flexible tape member is inserted into a cavity between telescoping first and second cylindrical members in a twisted manner so as to lock the members together as a unit. The tape member is manually slip fitted into position and is provided with a handle for aiding in the insertion and removal of the tape member.
