The title of a recording medium such as a tape cassette is automatically given. The service data of a broadcast program which are picked up by a data pickup circuit (6) are analyzed by a digital data analysis unit (91). If a program title is obtained from the analysis unit, the title is registered in a memory (8) as the title of a recording medium such as a tape cassette in which the information is recorded at present.

Grâce à cette invention, le titre d'un support d'enregistrement, tel qu'une cassette à bande, est fourni automatiquement. A cet effet, les données de services d'un programme de télédiffusion qui sont captées par un circuit capteur de données (6) sont analysées par un analyseur de données numériques (91).
