ABSTRACT A pipe joint formed by telescoping a pin inside a bell. The bell has an outer cylindrical section and an inner conical section tapering inwardly. The pin has a conical section tapering inwardly. The taper angle of the pin's conical section is greater than the taper angle of the bell's conical section. An adhesive is disposed in the cavity between the inner conical surface of the bell and the outer conical surface of the pin to establish a sealed joint there- between.
