Abstract of the Disclosure: A target made of interchangeable sections each comprising a multiplicity of membranes of plies of pene- trable, elastomeric or resilient, tear resistant sheet resin material, the membranes being separated by intervening layers of porous or low density, resilient and penetrable material such as foam resin material, providing for forma- tion of sleeve shaped portions of the membranes upon pene- tration by an arrow and thus provide for imposition of fric- tional drag on the shaft of the arrow.
