Chewable medicament tablets are made from coated granules of a medicament wherein the coating comprises a mixture of methylaminoethyl methacrylate and neutral methacrylic acid ester and a cellulose ester, e.g. cellulose acetate, cellulose acetate butyrate, cellulose triacetate or a combination thereof and optionally polyvinyl pyrrolidone and a process for making such tablets and a method of providing taste masking and sustained releasing of medicaments utilizing such coatings.

Des comprimés médicamenteux à mâcher sont obtenus à partir de granulés médicamenteux enrobés; l'enrobage est constitué d'un mélange de méthacrylate méthylaminoéthylique ainsi que d'un ester neutre d'acide méthacrylique et d'un ester cellulosique - p. ex. acétate de cellulose, acétate-butyrate de cellulose, triacétate de cellulose ou une combinaison de ces produits - et, facultativement, de polyvinylpyrrolidone; méthode pour produire ces comprimés et procédé pour le masquage du goût et la libération prolongée de médicaments à l'aide de ce type d'enrobage.
