A substantially-tasteless pharmaceutical delivery system and method for preparing it is provided herein. The system comprises a matter blend of an active material, and a spatially-oriented matrix. The spatially-oriented matrix includes a major amount of 10% to 95% by weight of the matrix of a wax core material having a melting point within the range of 50°C and 200°C. It also includes a minor amount of to to 50% by weight of the matrix of a hydrophobic polymer material which is selected from the group consisting of natural polymers and synthetic polymers. The total amount of the matrix is equal to 100%.
