A user may utilize a communication device to contact an information/call center (21-27) where an operator provides personalized information and communication services such as listing, contacts and appointements information. When a user locates a phone number in his/her private directory using a web browser, the user may utilize a direct connect feature of the invention to initiate a phone call over the Internet. Additionally, appointments information is delivered to the user via a voice connection, SMS, email, facsimile, PDA, etc. Also, a calendaring service helps the user plan a future event and an appointment record concerning the future event is automatically incorporated into the user's calendar. At least, one profile associated with the user is used which specifies the subscribed services and preferred ways of receiving them. For example, the profile may specify use of a special skilled operator, methods of delivery of information to the user, etc.
Un utilisateur peut utiliser un dispositif de communication, par exemple un téléphone sans fil, un dispositif mobile ou un assistant numérique personnel (PDA) pour contacter un centre d'information/appel où, selon cette invention, un opérateur fournit des informations personnalisées et des services de communication à l'utilisateur. Aux fins de fournir une connectivité efficace, par exemple lorsqu'un utilisateur localise un numéro de téléphone dans son répertoire privé au moyen d'un navigateur web, cet utilisateur doit utiliser un élément de connexion directe de cette invention pour lancer un appel téléphonique au numéro souhaité via Internet. Par ailleurs, cette invention permet de distribuer à l'utilisateur des informations relatives à des rendez-vous non seulement via une connexion vocale, mais aussi via un service d'envoi de message court, via un message électronique, un fax, un PDA etc.. cette invention permet aussi de rendre un service de tenu d'agenda en association avec des services tels que le service de TeleConcierge® qui aide l'utilisateur à planifier un événement futur, par exemple une réservation de restaurant. Un enregistrement de rendez-vous concernant cet événement futur est automatiquement introduit dans l'agenda de l'utilisateur lorsque cet événement est correctement planifié. Pour personnaliser ces services, on utilise au moins un profil associé à l'utilisateur qui précise les services auxquels il est abonné et les manières de réception de ces services qu'il préfère. Ce profil peut, par exemple préciser l'utilisation d'un opérateur expérimenté particulier, des méthodes de distribution d'informations à cet utilisateur, etc..
