A device comprised of a plastic clip, retention peg, plastic/metal composite golf ball tee and an elastic/nylon connecting cord to be used together or in combination while playing golf or when driving/hitting golf balls in practice. This device prevents a golf ball tee from being lost when it becomes dislodged from the drive or hit of a golf club. The retention peg is of substantial length designed with a pointed tip to penetrate the surface of the turf/grass enough, so as to prevent it from becoming dislodged. The peg will have either a hole or a molded eyelet at the top of the shaft so as to secure the elastic/nylon connecting cord, which will also be secured to the golf ball tee in the same way as the peg. This design prevents a dislodged golf ball tee from becoming lost and eliminates the need to retrieve a tee that has been driven and traveled a substantial distance. The elastic/nylon connection cord connects the retention peg and the golf ball tee when it is secured. The cord will be threaded through the holes and then knotted or secured at its ends or by being secured to the molded eyelet's while also being knotted at its ends. The elastic/nylon cords purpose is to provide the necessary recoil action to have the dislodged golf ball tee retract back and land close to the retention peg, thus preventing the loss of the tee. The golf ball tee will be made of a plastic/metal composite and/or coated with a membrane being of a consistency that it will provide a durable tee. The bottom half of the tees' shaft will be of hard plastic or metal while the top part is plastic and is of a composite so as to be strong enough to sustain the blows of the golf club, yet soft enough so as to not cause nicks to the golf club face after contact. The plastic clip is designed to hold the retention peg and the golf ball tee for storage between rounds so as to prevent the elastic/nylon cord from becoming tangled and knotted. The clip will also be of such design, that it will be able to clip onto the golf bag, golf cart, or a shirt or pants pocket for convenience and easy access. This product Tee-Mate is designed to be used by golf enthusiasts of all ages and at all levels to prevent the loss of their golf ball tees while also providing a long life tee. Consumers as a result of using this device will eliminate their time currently being spent looking for their dislodged golf ball tee. As a result of preventing the loss of their tee and the durability of our designed plastic/metal tee, golfers will also see a monetary savings due to not having to purchase as many tees to replace their lost or broken tees.
