The present invention provides a eeth-coating liquid comprising a color pigment represented by titanium oxide and a pearl pigment or an extender pigment represented by tricalcium phosphate, dispersed singly or in combination thereof in an alcohol series solvent, mainly ethanol with an N-methacryloylethyl-N,N-dimethylammonium-.alpha.-N- methylcarboxybetaine-butyl methacrylate copolymer, and an applicator for the coating liquid described above. This teeth-coating liquid provides excellent dispersion stability, gloss, coating property and sticking performance by using the N-methacryloylethyl- N,N-dimethylammonium-.alpha.-N-methylcarboxybetaine-butyl methacrylate copolymer singly or in combination with a shellac and a vinyl acetate resin.
