ABSTRACT A timing device of the hourglass type includes a protective transparent housing which covers a glass receptacle, a support, and mounting means for mounting the housing pivotably to the support. Pivoting of the housing between two positions is thereby permitted, in which the respective chambers of the timing device overlie one another. The timing device is generally adapted for location in a bathroom, and is used to time an effective period for brushing the teeth.
