A teeth protector for a laryngoscope blade (14) comprising at least one cushioning device (30) of de- formable material deformed around at least one selected surface of the laryngoscope blade and adapted to retain a deformed shape and having a self-adhering surface character adapted to adhere to the selected surfaces when pressed thereupon which surfaces correspond to surfaces which would contact a patient's teeth if the at least one cushioning device were not used. The teeth protector (30) is adaptable for use with virtually all laryngoscope blades styles. A cushioning device comprising beeswax is particularly useful in the teeth protector.
L'invention se rapporte à un système de protection pour les dents s'adaptant sur une lame (14) de laryngoscope et comprenant au moins un dispositif amortisseur (30) fait dans un matériau déformable et qui peut être déformé autour d'au moins une surface sélectionnée de la lame de laryngoscope. Ce dispostif est conçu pour conserver une configuration déformée et possède une surface de nature auto-adhérente facilitant son adhésion par pression sur des surfaces sélectionnées. Ces surfaces correspondent aux surfaces qui viendraient en contact avec les dents d'un patient si on n'utilisait pas, au moins, un dispositif amortisseur. Le système de protection (30) pour les dents peut être conçu pour être utilisé pratiquement avec tous les types de lames de laryngoscopes. Un dispositif amortisseur comprenant de la cire d'abeilles est notamment utilisé dans le système de protection pour les dents.
