A telecommunication device for receiving and transmitting DSI level signals that includes an I/O digital cross-connect switch (10), a GR-303 concentrator, and a frame relay aggregator switch in a single integrated device in one housing that fills less than two standard rack units. The device includes both active and standby/backup controller cards (26; 30) that communicate with eight quad framer cards (24) through a bus located in the backplane (22). The communication through the backplane is via a 8.192 Mbps signal to and from each quad framer card, passed along a bus. The 8.192 Mbps signal is generated by multiplexing the four DSI (E-1) signals on the quad framer card. The controller card that is active monitors the status of the DSI channel associated with each framer and stores historical data about the status in spare buffer registers on each framer.
Cette invention se rapporte à un dispositif de télécommunication servant à recevoir et à transmettre des signaux de niveau DSI et comprenant à cet effet un commutateur de brassage numérique 1/0 (10), un concentrateur GR-303 et un commutateur regroupeur de relais de trame dans un seul dispositif intégré dans un seul logement qui occupe moins de deux unités modulaires normalisées. Ce dispositif comporte des cartes contrôleurs à la fois actives et de réserve/sauvegarde (26; 30) qui communiquent avec quatre cartes formateurs de quadruples trames (24) par l'intermédiaire d'un bus situé dans le panneau arrière (22). La communication par le panneau arrière s'effectue par l'intermédiaire d'un signal de 8,192 Mbps à destination et en provenance de chaque carte formateur de quadruples trames, passant le long d'un bus. Le signal de 8,192 Mbps est généré par multiplexage des quatre signaux DSI(E-1) sur la carte formateur de quadruples trames. La carte contrôleur qui est active surveille l'état du canal DSI associé à chaque formateur de trame et stocke les données historiques sur son état dans des registres tampons de réserve sur chaque formateur de trames.
