ABRIDGEMENT Twin lines (AB) in a leaky feeder transmission system are joined uniconducting amplifiers (R1, R2, R3) connected in alternate directions. Signals are sent from the feeders at a first frequency and received at a second frequency. Filters are positioned along the feeders between amplifier connection points to permit the signals to take a path which alternates between feeders through the amplifiers.
