A teleconference terminal equipment adapted to construct an AV meeting system as an intended use, comprising a network interface and communications network control unit, a multimedia multiplexing/demultiplexing and interterminal signal control unit which multiplexes and demultiplexes video data and control data contained in a communication frame to be transmitted by the control unit and a communication frame received by the same, respectively, a picture codec which codes and decodes video data, a video input/output interface which connects an external camera to the picture codec, a camera control/external device multiconnector, and a CPU which controls an operation of the external camera through the multiconnector on the basis of control data delivered from the control unit.
L'invention est un terminal de téléconférence adapté pour construire un système de réunion audio-vidéo. le terminal de l'invention comprend une interface réseau et un contrôleur de réseau de communication, un contrôleur multimédia de multiplexage-démultiplexage et de transmission de signaux entre terminaux qui multiplexe et démultiplexe les données vidéo et les données de commande contenues respectivement dans un bloc à transmettre et dans un bloc reçu, un codec d'imagerie qui code et décode les données vidéo, une interface d'entrée-sortie vidéo servant à relier une caméra externe au codec d'imagerie, un multiconnecteur servant à connecter le contrôleur de caméra à un dispositif externe, et une unité centrale qui contrôle les opérations de la caméra externe par l'intermédiaire du multiconnecteur en utilisant les données de contrôle fournies par le contrôleur.
