TELEPHONE CABLE ENTRANCE TERMINAL WITH INTERNAL FUSE LINK Abstract of the Disclosure In an entrance terminal for a telephone cable; the incoming cable is connected to the front ends of terminal members in terminal strips mounted in an interconnect block mounted in the terminal housing. Fuse link conductors are connected at one end to the back ends of the terminal members and at the other end to terminal pins on a rear surface of a protector module block mounted in a hinged front portion of the housing. Protector modules are mounted on the protector module block and are connected to the terminal pins. The fuse link conductors are of a smaller gage than the gage of the conductors of the incoming cable. In the event of a severe overload on the cable, the fuse link conductors fuse, keeping any flames contained within the terminal housing. - i -
