A system and method for detecting and preventing a fraudulent telephone call in telecommunication system is provided. First, a termining number of a first call (80) and an originating number of a second call (805) are received from a telecommunication network. The terminating number of the first call is compared with the originating number of the second calls which are originated within a predetermined time period from a termination of the first call (807). After comparison, it is determined whether the first and the second calls are fraudulent telephone calls.

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant de détecter et d'empêcher un appel téléphonique frauduleux dans un système de télécommunication. Un numéro d'arrivée d'un premier appel et un numéro de départ d'un second appel sont d'abord reçus par un réseau de télécommunication. Le numéro d'arrivée du premier appel est comparé avec le numéro de départ des seconds appels qui sont effectués dans un laps de temps prédéterminé à partir de la fin du premier appel. Après comparaison, on détermine si le premier appel et le second appel sont des appels téléphoniques frauduleux.
