ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a telescopic tube system such as a garment rack, where two tubes are telescopically biased together and held in position by a button protruding through aligned holes in the tubes, the improvement for reducing relative rotary motion between the tubes in which one or both holes are tapered. Each tapered hole has a widened portion of width greater than the button diameter, a narrowed portion of width less than the button diameter, and edges slanting from the widened to the narrow portion. In use, the button is clamped between the slanting edges of the holes, reducing unwanted rotary motion.
