When towing a trailer the tow vehicle and trailer have to be close together. In the case of a boat trailer this meant that the tow vehicle often had to be driven into the water to launch or retrieve the boat. This invention consists of a 10 to 25 foot long extension bar or channel made out of steel with the trailer hitch attached to one end that inserts into the trailer frame tongue so that it slides freely in and out. The extension bar or channel is locked into the frame tongue in either a closed or extended position with a steel pin inserted into holes aligned through both pieces.
