A function of facilitating selection of a program through a simple operation. A plurality of kinds of maps (7) of different ranges of the area where the viewer resides are previously transmitted and stored in a memory built in a TV receiver. The maps around the house of the viewer are sorted by the use for pedestrian, bicycle, and car, and a suitable kind can be selected according to the use by clicking an icon 8 (71) displayed on the screen. When an icon 8 (75) is clicked, positions of department stores, super markets, restaurants, and amusement parks along with the leaflet information, information on menus of restaurants, and information on events of amusement parks, can be displayed on the map. Furthermore, information on traffic jam and, natural disaster can also be displayed on the map. The information can be rewritten appropriately. The viewer can obtain any of the information easily by operating a remote controller.
Selon l'invention, on met en oeuvre une fonction facilitant la sélection d'un programme au moyen d'une simple opération. Plusieurs sortes de cartes (7) de zones différentes de la région dans laquelle le téléspectateur réside sont préalablement émises et stockées dans une mémoire intégrée dans un récepteur de télévision. Les cartes de zones voisines du domicile du téléspectateur sont triées selon un usage de piéton, de cycliste, et d'automobiliste, et une catégorie appropriée de carte peut être choisie par un clic sur un icône 8 (71) affiché sur l'écran. Lorsqu'un icône 8 (75) est sélectionné, les positions de magasins, de supermarchés, de restaurants, et de parcs d'attractions, ainsi que des fiches d'information sur les menus des restaurants et sur les événements des parcs d'attractions peuvent être affichés sur la carte. En outre, il est aussi possible d'afficher sur la carte une information sur les embouteillages et sur une catastrophe naturelle. L'information peut être réécrite à bon escient. Le téléspectateur peut obtenir facilement une quelconque information à l'aide d'une télécommande.
