ABSTRACT: A photoconductive layer which is vapour-deposited on a carrier in a television camera tube is provided with a structure of regions separated by boundaries extending within the material from one major surface of the layer to the other. The electrical resistivity of the material at the boundaries is higher than that of the material within the regions.
