ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A television horizontal deflection circuit includes a voltage supply circuit having a switching element, a reso- nant circuit driven by ON and OFF of the switching element, and an auxiliary transformer, in which the switching ele- ment and the resonant circuit are adapted to be driven in synchronism with each other. The resonant circuit is applied with a current from the voltage supply circuit through one winding of the auxiliary transformer, and a current flowing through the switching element is partially or wholly supplied to the other winding of the auxiliary winding so that a current generated in the one winding due to the current flowing through the other winding is arranged to have a direction such as to cancel the current supplied to the resonant circuit from the voltage supply circuit.
