ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A television receiver capable of reproducing pictures and at least two audio channels from incoming broadcast video signals and also capable of receiving a video and audio signals from a video tape recorder with a video signal being applied to the receiver through one of the unused broadcast channels and the audio signals from the video tape recorder being supplied through a switching circuit to the audio system of the television receiver with an automatic switching arrangement for connecting the audio system to the output of the video tape recorder when the tape video tape recorder is connected to the input of the tuner of the receiver.
