An apparatus and method for detecting and logging video outputs from a central control unit to one or more television receivers in which a remote unit in or in proximity to the or each television receiver detects by means of a tuned circuit the horizontal synchronization signal frequency of the receiver; the detected signal is modulated and fed to the central control unit where it is demodulated to produce a signal corresponding to the phase of the receiver horizontal synchronization signal characteristic of that receiver, the phase of the time synchronization signal of each of a plurality of video players is compared with the phase of the fed receiver signal to obtain a match; and a microprocessor logs the matched signals.
L'invention est constituée par un appareil et une méthode de détection et d'enregistrement de signaux vidéo provenant d'une unité centrale qui contrôle un ou plusieurs récepteurs de télévision dans lesquels ou au voisinage desquels une unité détecte au moyen d'un circuit accordé à la fréquence du signal de synchronisation horizontale du récepteur. Le signal détecté est modulé et transmis à l'unité de contrôle centrale où il est démodulé pour produire un signal correspondant à la phase du signal de synchronisation horizontale du récepteur en cause. La phase du signal de synchronisation temporel de chaque lecteur vidéo d'une pluralité de tels lecteur est comparée avec la phase du signal du récepteur alimenté et un microprocesseur enregistre les signaux qui correspondent.
