- 14 - Abstract In an active substrate electro-optic display, such as a liquid crystal display utilizing a metal- insulator-metal (MIM) device in series with each picture element, temperature compensation techniques are employed to control the useful operating range of the display. For example, a temperature feedback scheme is utilized to modulate the frame period of the line driver circuits and may be used separately or in combination with pulse polarity repetition driving.
