A TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER FOR A WATERBED ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A temperature controller for controlling the electrical heater of a waterbed is disclosed. In prior temperature controllers for waterbeds, only the heat of the waterbed mattress is monitored. In the present inven- tion the temperature of the surrounding environment is also monitored and the target temperature of the waterbed mattress is varied accordingly to conform to the user's desire for a higher mattress temperature in a cold sur- rounding and a lower mattress temperature in a warm surrounding.
