Use of temperature critical catalysts as urethane-promoting catalysts in polyurethane carpet adhesives provides urethane adhesives having long puddle life times white exhibiting short cure times. Polyurethane adhesives may be formulated with low primary hydroxyl content polyols while retaining curing speed. Low temperature cure useful with sensitive fiber and backing materials may be achieved.
