Abstract of the Invention A control circuit for precisely controlling the temperature of a cooking surface of a barbecue grill is provided. The circuit comprises temperature sensor means for sensing the temperature of the cooking surface, temperature select means for allowing the user to select the desired cooking surface temperature, and logic circuitry which compares the selected desired temperature to the feedback signal from the temperature sensor.
