TEMPERATURE OVERLOAD PROTECTOR SYSTEM ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A thermal fuse for use with an electrical device, the fuse having a fusible element therein to melt when the temperature thereof rises to a predetermined value and thereby interrupt the electrical supply connection to the device, is assembled within a container, and therein potted. The container is of moulded plastic, having a perforated end to provide access for one of the solid connection leads, and an attached cap at the other end, also perforated to receive the other connection lead of the fuse. The container permits rapid assembly of the fuse element and its leads, and the injection of a desired quantity of potting compound, prior to enclosing the assembly by insertion and ultrasonic welding of the cap and leaving the compound to cure. The selected shape of the container greatly facilitates the assembly of the components therewith, to cut down on assembly time, whilst permitting shelf curing of the potted assembly.
