Abstract A temperature-sensitive actuating apparatus (1) for a servo-apparatus (2) contains in a housing (6) of the servo-apparatus (2) an actuating element (5) which has a length changing with temperature and is of a metal having a shape memory for a servo-element (7). The actuating apparatus also comprises a heating apparatus (18). To give more latitude to the construction and arrangement for the actuating apparatus (1) and the heating apparatus (18), the actuating apparatus (1) comprises a connecting member (3) attachable to the exterior of the housing (6) of the servo-apparatus (2) and containing the heating apparatus (18). When the connecting member (3) is attached, the larger part of the actuating element (5) is introduced into the connec- ting member (3) out of the servo-apparatus (2) through a wall (10) of the housing (6) of the servo-apparatus (2) in a capillary tube (4) substantially thermally insulated from the interior of the housing (6) of the servo-apparatus (2).
