A microcapsulated pigment contains, as reaction media one or more specific aliphatic acid alcohol esters obtained from monohydric aliphatic alcohols having odd numbers of carbon atoms and aliphatic carboxylic acids, these reaction media in a homogenious compatible state with chromatic components are occluded in microcapsules to obtain characteristics of thermochromism with a hysteresis range (segment HG) from 8°C to 30°C.

Un pigment microcapsulé renferme comme milieux de réaction un ou plusieurs esters d'alcools et d'acides aliphatiques spécifiques, plus précisément d'alcools aliphatiques monohydroxylés possédant un nombre impair d'atomes de carbone, et d'acides carboxyliques aliphatiques; ces milieux de réaction sont retenus, dans un état d'homogénéité compatible avec des constituants chromatiques, à l'intérieur de microcapsules, de façon à obtenir des caractéristiques de thermochromisme présentant un intervalle d'hystérésis (segment HG) de 8 à 30 degrés C.
