A temperature stable bandpass folded filter for microwave radio communication, made from standard waveguide sections. Two waveguide sections are divided into cavities using metal plates made from a temperature stable material, to construct the filter. The sections are connected juxtaposed and the cavities of each section are coupled through holes in the coupled broadwalls of the section. Low insertion loss and very good temperature stability is obtained with the use of copper clad INVAR waveguide material. The method of constructing the temperature stable folded waveguide filter of reduced length is also disclosed.

Un filtre passe-bande replié thermostable pour radiocommunication à ondes ultra-courtes, fait à partir de sections de guidage d'ondes étalonnées. Deux sections de guidage d'ondes sont divisées en cavités au moyen de plaques de métal fabriquées d'un matériau thermostable, pour construire le filtre. Les sections sont raccordées de façon juxtaposée et les cavités de chaque section sont couplées au moyen de trous dans les parois frontales couplées de la section. L'utilisation d'un matériau de guidage d'ondes INVAR cuivré permet d'obtenir une faible perte d'insertion ainsi qu'une très bonne stabilité de la température. La méthode de construction du filtre replié de guidage d'ondes thermostable de longueur réduite est également présentée.
