Temperature swing adsorption to remove CO2 from a gas stream is conducted using alumina to adsorb all the water and at least most of the carbon dioxide from the gas stream. Optionally a downstream zone of zeolite may be provided to remove further carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons.

L'adsorption par oscillation de la température pour éliminer le CO2 dans un flux gazeux est effectuée à l'aide d'alumine, laquelle adsorbe toute l'eau et au moins la majeure partie du dioxyde de carbone présents dans le flux gazeux. On peut prévoir facultativement une zone de zéolite en aval pour éliminer encore davantage de dioxyde de carbone et d'hydrocarbures.
