Template-fixed .beta.-hairpin peptidomimetics of the general formula (I) wherein Z is a template-fixed chain of 8 .alpha.- amino acid residues which, depending on their positions in the chain (counted starting from the N-terminal amino acid), are Gly or Pro or of certain types which, as the remaining symbols in the above formula, are defined in the description and the claims, and salts thereof, have agonizing or antagonizing activity against urotensin II or show inhibition of the STAT6/NCoA-1 interaction and can be used for preventing or treating diseases or disorders related to urotensin II, STAT6 and NCoA- 1. These .beta.-hairpin peptidomimetics can be manufactured by a process which is based on a mixed solid- and solution phase synthetic strategy.

L'invention porte sur des peptidomimétiques en épingle à cheveux ß fixés sur matrice répondant à a formule générale (I), dans laquelle Z est une chaîne fixée sur matrice de 8 résidus d'acides aminés a qui, en fonction de leur position dans la chaîne (déterminée à partir de l'acide aminé N-terminal), sont GIy ou Pro ou de certain types qui, comme les autres symboles de la formule précitée, sont tels que définis dans la description et les revendications, et sur des sels de ces derniers. Les peptidomimétiques et sels précités possèdent une activité agoniste ou antagoniste sur l'urotensine II, ou une activité inhibitrice de l'interaction STAT6/NCoA-1 et peuvent par conséquent être utilisés pour prévenir ou traiter les maladies ou affections liées à l'urotensine II, à STAT6 et à NCoA-1. Lesdits peptidomimétiques en épingle à cheveux ß peuvent être fabriqués selon un procédé reposant sur une stratégie mixte de synthèse sur phase solide et en solution.
