ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A template for locating the position of holes to be drilled for accommodation of a bracket. The bracket anchors a hydro pole or a telephone pole vertically on rocky ground or on ground beneath which sewer pipes or electrical conduits are located. The template has three sleeves, one connected by expandable arms to the other two. A stud is connected to each sleeve and extends toward the pole for spacing the sleeves a predetermined distance from the pole.
