-8- ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A bulky, soft rubber grip, as a pair of grips for attachment to the ear portions of eye glass temple pieces pro- vides a highly effective grip to maintain the eyeglasses of a user in stable retention, despite different attitude positions adopted by the head of the user. The grips are tubular, having an internal diameter to provide a close gripping fit at a desired location on the temple piece. A substantially smooth, rounded outer surface with annular peripheral zones of reduced diameter facilitates the head-adhering characteristics of the rubber grips, while substantially avoiding the retention of natural body and skin contaminants of the user. The softness of the rubber and the smoothly contoured surfaces diminish contact forces to the point of non-perceptiveness, while affording unusual retentive capacity in combination with the eyeglasses.
