2127988 9314344 PCTABS00024 In a temporary safety light replacement system a self contained individual safety light (10) which is adapted to be secured as a replacement in close proximity to a broken safety light. The light has a self contained power supply (30) and a recess switch (24) which is not visually discernable and is protected from the elements when the safety light (10) is secured to the vehicle. A special receptacle (34) serves as a reflector (54) when the receptacle is in its closed position and when moved to an open position secures two sides of the safety light (10) to accomplish a strong positive attachment.
