CA 1053208

ABSTRACT A tension brush for facilitating the unreeling of wire from a wire-carrying spool, comprising a support body con- stituted of two annular members which are disposed broadside and in axial alignment with one another, and a plurality of flexible and resilient nylon tines which are heat-fused to- gether at their inner ends and clamped between the members with their outer ends being free and unattached. Means are provided on the body to enable it to be mounted on one end of a spool, whereby the free ends of the tines extend beyond the spool flange portions. The advantage of the present construction is that the extreme simplicity of the product, together with the use of readily available material, keeps the overall cost involved with making the brush to an abso- lute minimum.
