A tensioner comprising a base, a pivot arm rotationally connected to the base, a pulley journalled to the pivot arm, a torsion spring engaged between the base and the pivot arm for biasing the pivot arm, a damping member non-rotatingly engaged with the base, a thrust plate rotationally moveable in conjunction with the pivot arm, and the torsion spring exerting an axial force directly upon the thrust plate and thereby upon the damping member, pressing the damping member into frictional engagement with the pivot arm and with the thrust plate.
L'objet de la présente invention concerne un tendeur doté d'une base, d'un bras de pivot relié de manière pivotante à la base, d'une poulie tourillonnée sur le bras de pivot, d'un ressort de torsion engagé entre la base et le bras de pivot destiné à mettre en biais le bras de pivot, d'un élément d'amortissement engagé de manière non pivotante sur la base, d'une plaque de poussée mobile de manière pivotante et en relation avec le bras de pivot, le ressort de torsion exerçant une force axiale directement sur la plaque de poussée et, en conséquence, sur l'élément d'amortissement, en pressant l'élément d'amortissement sur le bras de pivot et sur la plaque de poussée par enclenchement par friction.
