- 8 - ABSTRACT The invention refers to a tensioning rail at the plate cylin- der of rotary printing machines for the tensioning of the tracking end of the plate, comprising a clamping device for the end of the plate and tensioning screws which tension the mounted and clamped printing plate against the force of compression springs, whereby an independent additional force can be exerted on this tensioning rail for a short time in order to facilitate and accelerate the changing of the print- ing plate.
