TENT PEG ABSTRACT A tent peg adapted to allow readily release and adjustment of the tension in the rope connected thereto and to provide a sturdy head to drive the peg in the ground and to withdraw the same with a minimum of damage to the peg. This tent peg includes a body of steel with a stem of L-shpaed cross section and a head formed by a plate element extending over the stem and forming an over- hang portion between the two side flanges of the stem. A manual clamp device is fixed to the stem and includes a wing nut and a resilient annular pad to clamp the rope to the peg.
