ABSTRACT An electric range surface unit is provided with terminal connectors for engagement with spring-type gripping terminals in a plug-in terminal block. The connector is formed from a flat metal strip and folded at its outer end to form a pair of sides having longitudinal, aligned grooves on the inner sides to grip the round terminal pin. When the sides are pressed together and welded, the pin deforms to substantially fill the grooves without deforming the smooth outer surfaces which engage the spring terminals.
