CHANNEL TYPE TERMINAL CONNECTORS AND METHOD OF MAKING Abstract of the Disclosure Forming of wire contacting jaws for a channel type electrical terminal of conductive sheet metal is disclosed, without diminishing the length of the terminal, by first obtaining a stretching of the conductive metal into a preliminary displaced configuration in a first die. Then reverse forming and coining the metal into a jaw formation deeper and narrower than the first configuration. Then in a third die substantially removing the reverse curvature, with added coining and stretching of the metal, into a final jaw formation which is deeper and narrower than that obtained in the second die, without rupture of the metal. Slight reverse curvature is retained adjacent the juncture of the sides of the jaw with the body of the terminal.
