65695-600 TERMINATING INSULATED CONDUCTORS ABSTRACT (Figure 5) A plug and socket connector for a printed circuit board (35) has the socket part (3) open at the bottom so that it can be attached to the board by latches (36, 38) engaging in openings (37, 39) in the board, leaving exposed conductive tracks (34) on the board. A plug (not shown) has external resilient contacts so that when the plug is inserted in the socket, the contacts press against the tracks (34). Other fastening means for holding the socket against the board are disclosed and the socket can be double so that a plug can be inserted on either side of the board.
