A termination device for butt connecting cables with ends enlarged into frusto-conical shape, consists of a hollow structure in the form of two opposing cone frustums with their minor bases arranged at the ends of the structures. The structure is cut into two equal half-shells along a central plane and into frusto-conical cavities wherein the frusto-conically enlarged ends of the cables are inserted. The half-shells are maintained joined together by two frusto-conical sleeves mounted from the ends of the structure and themselves held in position by bolts connecting together the radial flanges present at the facing ends of the sleeves.
