A termination device for a through the wall connection to the double walled coaxial ducting of a horizontal direct vented gas fireplace or thelike comprising a mounting means having an opening therethrough for mounting said device on the exterior of a wall having a passage therethrough with the opening registering with the passage, a first pipe adapted for connection with the outer of the coaxial ducts secured to the mounting means and projecting inwardly thereof and adapted to extend through the wall passage, deflector means supported in spaced relation outwardly from the mouth of the first pipe and presenting an air deflecting surface formation surrounding and sloping inwardly towards the mouth of the first pipe to a central opening in substantially coaxial relation with but spaced from the firstpipe, said air deflecting surface formation being adapted to deflect air inwardly into the first pipe, a second pipe adapted for connection with the inner of the coaxial ducts extending from an outer end located on the outer side of the deflecting surface formation inwardly through the deflector surface central opening and through the first pipe, means being provided to bar the entrance of foreign objects into the mouth of the first pipe while permitting airflow therethrough, and protective means surrounding the outer end of the second pipe being provided to bar access thereto while permitting escape of exhaust fumes. Preferably the outer end of the second pipe terminates in a cap having a series of peripheral openings therearound and the means surrounding the second pipe comprises a generally spherical chamber having a central band of screening for outletting exhaust products, the inner portion of the chamber facing the mounting plate constituting the air deflecting surface formation.
Dispositif de terminaison pour un raccordement, traversant un mur, à un conduit coaxial à double paroi d'un foyer à gaz horizontal directement ventilé ou d'un article analogue. Il comprend : un mécanisme de montage présentant une ouverture et permettant de monter le dispositif à l'extérieur d'un mur comprenant un passage, le positionnement de l'ouverture correspondant au passage; un premier tuyau adapté pour un raccordement au conduit coaxial le plus à l'extérieur qui est fixé au mécanisme de montage, en saillie vers l'intérieur et adapté pour s'étendre à travers le passage du mur; un déflecteur supporté en relation espacée vers l'extérieur par rapport à la bouche du premier tuyau, présentant une formation de surface environnante de déflecteur d'air inclinée vers l'intérieur en direction de la bouche du premier tuyau vers une ouverture centrale, en relation essentiellement coaxiale avec le premier tuyau de façon espacée (cette formation de surface étant adaptée pour réorienter l'air vers l'intérieur dans le premier tuyau); un second tuyau adapté pour un raccordement avec l'intérieur des conduits coaxiaux s'étendant depuis une extrémité avant de l'autre côté de la formation de surface, vers l'intérieur à travers l'ouverture centrale de la surface de déflecteur et le premier tuyau (un mécanisme empêchant l'entrée de corps étrangers dans la bouche du premier tuyau tout en permettant une circulation d'air, et un dispositif de protection entourant l'extrémité avant du second tuyau afin d'empêcher l'accès à ce dernier tout en permettant aux produits de combustion de s'échapper). De préférence, l'extrémité avant du second tuyau se termine en bouchon présentant autour une série d'ouvertures périphériques, et le dispositif entourant le second tuyau comprend une chambre généralement sphérique ayant une bande centrale de filtrage pour permettre la sortie des produits de combustion. La partie interne de la chambre opposée à la plaque de montage constitue la formation de surface de déflecteur d'air.
