Pesticides for the extermination of terrestrial arthropods are disclosed which comprise formulations of a combination of terpenes in aqueous solutions which may be used together with citral. No resistance to the formulations of the invention has been seen. When used on the scalp or body for lice infestation no extended dwell time is required. The formulations do not have unpleasant odors. The formulations are directed towards providing topical preparations which may be used on the skin, scalp and hairy body parts of humans and animals, sprays for use directly against terrestrial arthropods, a dipping solution for combs and a laundry additive, amongst others.

L'invention concerne des pesticides destinés à l'extermination d'anthropodes terrestres, qui comprennent des formulations et une combinaison de terpènes dans des solutions aqueuses pouvant être utilisées avec du citral. Aucun effet gênant des formulations n'a pu être observé. Lorsque les formulations sont utilisées sur le cuir chevelu ou sur le corps en vue d'éliminer une infestation de poux, un important temps d'imprégnation n'est pas nécessaire. Les formulations ne présentent aucune odeur désagréable et sont dirigées à fournir, entre autres, des préparations topiques qui peuvent être utilisées sur la peau, le cuir chevelu et les zones pileuses des humains et des animaux, des sprays à utiliser directement contre les anthropodes, une solution de trempe pour les peignes et un additif de lessive.
