ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Superabsorbent solid organic polymers (such as acrylamide and acrylate polymers, co-polymers and ter-polymers, optionally grafted) which absorb over 100 times their weight in water are used in natural or artificial, terrestrial environment insect (such as fire ants) or pest population control compositions. Methods for using the solid or flowable superabsorbent polymer insecticidal/pesticidal delivery agents for the control of terrestrial insect or pest populations or for the simultaneous or concurrent control of both terrestrial insect and habitat-associated/related pest populations, in an area needing terrestrial environment insect and/or pest control treatment are described.
